So much of this resonated with me! I don't do resolutions, but I chose some words for this year - time, movement, ease. It's obvious now I'm not the only one with these on my mind. Maybe (hopefully) we're seeing a collective shift in how we approach, not just work, but life too.

And dare I say, Dolly is the OG butterfly queen!

Glad to hear it! I'm not much for resolutions either. I love your approach. Ben and I discussed if it was Mariah or Dolly who was the butterfly queen, and it is sooo Dolly!!!

What if I just want to wear business attire in the ocean?!? Don’t try to limit where I can wear my aquatic gear!!!

Great ideas as always - if we don't count the office/swimwear one. I endorse the 15 min gap between meetings. Long ago I adopted a 10 gap and used it to prep for the next meeting: what I wanted to accomplish whether it be to learn, teach, direct etc; and then how to go about doing it was. Basically a mini-version of what we do for a formal meeting. Immediately the meetings were shorter and more productive and I had more time between meetings. The other thing that worked for me - and maybe it's just me - I didn't take any meetings until 10am. I did all my thinking, planning, and writing first because I found I had trouble getting back to work that required concentration after a meeting. That's not true of everyone but I do recommend that people understand the times of day that are best suited to their particular kinds of tasks and schedule meetings, messages, reading/writing accordingly. Keep up the good work!

I'm a big fan of the shorter meetings and gaps between them, too. I love no meetings before 10am! Always good to hear from you. Thank you for your kind words!
